We provide secure, high-quality language access in more than 80 spoken and signed languages for USCIS and other federal agencies.

We are seeking Vietnamese Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Vietnamese is a priority Southeast Asian language, often required for immigration, asylum, and naturalization interviews.

Responsibilities

  • Provide real-time Vietnamese ↔ English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and official proceedings.
  • Interpret with accuracy, neutrality, and professionalism in immigration and legal contexts.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.
  • Manage both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge requests.
  • Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance reviews.
Qualifications

  • Native or near-native fluency in Vietnamese and English.
  • 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, community, or government preferred).
  • Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural awareness.
  • Excellent telephone communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.
